Abandoned by his parents since he was a baby, a disabled child sells water spinach in order to be able to eat. Ilham was taken care of by an elderly couple, Abah Ayi and his wife. They thought that Ilham would be picked up by his parents... but in reality, Ilham was abandoned by them.
Fortunately, Ilham was able to experience love and care from his foster father, Abah Ayi. However, not long after, Abah Ayi passed away, causing Ilham's life to change. Now, Ilham only lives with his foster mother.
Back when Abah Ayi was around, he was the backbone of the family. But after Abah Ayi passed away, Ilham and his foster mother had to come up with ways to survive.
Now, they sell water spinach just to be able to eat. They have traveled far and wide to find buyers, but not many are interested in buying their vegetables. They often go hungry because they don't have enough money to buy rice.
Despite all the challenges he faces, Ilham hopes that Allah will provide a way out of the difficulties he is facing with his foster mother. They dream of owning a small shop so that they no longer have to wander around selling vegetables, as Ilham feels sorry for his mother who has to push him around while they sell.
